Shri Dhirubhai Ambani was born on December 28, 1932 in Chorwad, Gujarat, then part of Junagadh state. His parents were Shri Hirachandbhai Ambani and Smt. Jamnaben Ambani. He was their fifth child.

Reliance is investing Rs 5.95 lakh crore in Green Energy and other projects in Gujarat over a span of 10 to 15 years. The investment will help in setting up a 100 GW Renewable Energy Power Plant and develop a Green Hydrogen ecosystem. RIL will also develop an ecosystem for assisting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and encourage entrepreneurs to embrace new technologies and innovations leading to captive use of Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen.

Reliance Naroda began with four German wrap knitting machines and a processing house. The design team was soon churning out 2,200 designs every month. Reliance Naroda mill would lead a textile revolution in India and become the birthplace of 'Vimal'—the most iconic brand in the history of textile manufacturing in India.
